Can’t choose just one exploration? No problem! Many students attend more than one week of SYP each summer. Over the weekend, our stay-over students enjoy the Keweenaw Peninsula through activities such as beach visits, local hikes, and more.
If you’re staying with us between sessions, a $150 stay-over fee covers room and board, supervision, meals (both in the dining hall and during off-campus outings), and any related excursion costs.
For additional details, visit our Live-In vs Commuter page.
Whether you’re a commuter student driving your car to Michigan Tech each day or bringing your own car to campus for the week as a live-in student, you will need to purchase a parking pass from the SYP front desk.
A week-long parking pass (needed for live-in students with a vehicle and those commuting all week) costs $20. Live-in students park in lot 17L behind Wadsworth Hall. With the pass, commuter students can park at meters and visitor lots. A one-day pass for meters and visitor lots costs $5.
