Online Learning

Orientation

Your academic career at Michigan Tech begins with orientation. It's an excellent time to familiarize yourself with available student resources.

Graduate Student Orientation

Students who are blending on-campus and online learning will participate in new student orientation.

Students who are online learners only may complete an online training and view our online resources to receive the required training and orientation.

Undergraduate Student Orientation

Students who are supplementing their on-campus experience with online courses participate in Michigan Tech's O Week. Find out more about orientation on our Admissions Orientation website or on our Orientation website.

There's a special orientation for dual enrollment students. They will automatically be contacted by the Admissions Office.

Nondegree-seeking students don't need to participate in a formal orientation.

Don't Be Shy

"Contact faculty with questions. Many online students are hesitant to contact professors via email or phone, but faculty with online sections are happy to communicate with them to answer questions."
