Mr. Fox entered active duty in 1981, upon graduation from High School, and served three years in the 82nd Airborne Division as an Infantryman and a Pathfinder. He left active duty in 1984 and entered the University of Wisconsin/Madison, where he joined the Army Reserves and Army ROTC. He was commissioned in 1990 as an active duty Infantry Officer. His military training includes: Airborne school, Pathfinder school, Recondo School, Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced courses, Ranger School, Malaysian Combat Tracking School, Special Forces Phase II Demolitions Course, and Special Forces SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) Instructor School. He has served as an Infantry Platoon Leader, Infantry Company Executive Officer, Support Platoon Leader, Assistant Brigade S3 Officer, Company Commander, Infantry Battalion S4, ROTC APMS, ROK Liaison Officer, Brigade Plans Officer and as a Stryker Infantry Battalion Operations Officer. Mr. Fox retired from active duty in 2013 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
