The mission of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion is to foster student success by providing engaging programs that create safe spaces for students of multiple social and cultural identities. This is done through a broad range of services, workshops, and events.

The staff at the Center for Student Mental Health and Well-Being is here to help you gain perspective and be successful both personally and academically. Our professional staff of licensed therapists possesses both academic and personal counseling training and skills.

International Programs and Services

International Programs and Services

International Programs and Services (IPS) serves international students and scholars from more than 60 countries who come to Michigan Tech to create the future.  We provide holistic support through advising on immigration, personal and cultural matters, and by organizing events and activities to support students' engagement and development within the campus community.


Residence Education and Housing Services

Residence Education and Housing Services is dedicated to inspire students to succeed by building a strong foundation of community throughout the resident halls and providing a safe and comfortable living experience.  All housing and apartment affairs are resolved through our staff.

Student Leadership and Involvement

Student Leadership and Involvement offers students fun and entertaining venues to help mold and create their Michigan Tech experience.  They are the catalyst to engage student involvement by providing opportunities for any student to stay active, from student organizations to Greek life and community service to leadership programs.

Student Affairs and Advancement Information Services

Student Affairs and Information Systems (SAIS)

Student Affairs Information Systems (SAIS) provides functional support for departments that utilize student, financial aid and alumni/advancement systems at Michigan Tech.  We serve as the coordinating area for student and alumni records and information, acting as a liaison between personnel and Enterprise Application Services.  We also assist departments in utilizing their existing technical resources effectively and assist departments to identify new processes and technologies that could improve their business.


Student Disability Services

Student Disability Services provides support and resources for students with or without a documented disability. Any student may meet with the Coordinator of Student Disability Services and discuss strategies for college success.


Waino Wahtera Center for Student Success

The Waino Wahtera Center for Student Success is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of Michigan Tech students by helping them to develop attitudes, values, and skills that enhance their academic and personal success.



Wellness focuses on student health and offers presentations and workshops on a range of topics. Fun wellness-related activities include a health fair, Bigfoot snowshoe event, dog therapy, and a week of wellness.
