9.5.8 Memberships

In recognition of the benefits which can accrue to the University through representation of the University or certain faculty/staff members, as institutional representatives, in various professional or civic organizations, the fees for membership status in appropriate organizations will be paid by the University.

Memberships in any organization are to be approved by the appropriate department chair/dean/director or higher in supervisory chain-of-command.

A department may be noted as the primary representative in the organization's records; however, the membership is still one of the University, as a whole.
