9.5.10 University Learning Centers

Michigan Tech offers students several learning centers with one-on-one tutoring assistance. The learning centers include the MTU Writing Center housed in Walker; the Engineering Learning Center for support in the gateway engineering courses, e.g., Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials and Thermodynamics housed in R. L. Smith Building (MEEM); the Mathematics Learning Center, the Computer Science Learning Center and the Physics Learning Center, all located in Fisher Hall; the Chemistry Learning Center located in the Chemical Sciences & Engineering Building and the Biology Learning Center and the Electrical Engineering Learning Center located in Electrical Energy Resources Center (EERC). All these centers enable students effectively to approach challenging subject matter through weekly appointments, team learning, or walk-in help.
