Scott Collick

Scott Collick earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1989 and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Central Michigan University in 1994. He is currently Chief Sustainability Officer for DuPont de Nemours and resides in Midland, Michigan. He chairs DuPont's cross-functional Sustainability Leadership Council and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on DuPont’s ambitious Sustainability Goals. Scott has a strong 35-year track record of delivering products, process innovations, and sustainability initiatives to market.
Prior to his current role, he was Vice President of Technology for DuPont's Mobility & Materials (M&M) business, where he led research, development, technical service, and product stewardship. He managed a team of over 800 technology employees in multiple locations around the world, focusing on developing innovative technology in engineering plastics and other highly engineered materials for demanding applications in the automotive, electrical/electronic, industrial, consumer, and healthcare markets.
Scott joined Dow in 1989, holding several key positions in research and development, and moved to DuPont during the merger between the two companies. During his time at Dow, he served as collaborative partner and leader driving several initiatives, most notably in Dow’s Packaging & Specialty Plastics business. Scott played a significant role in the development and success of Pack Studios. Pack Studios is a concept and global network of prototyping, fabrication and testing centers designed to foster innovation in packaging by providing advanced materials, testing facilities, and expert guidance. Scott held a variety of technical roles early in his career doing process development at both miniplant and pilot plant scale in the areas of polycarbonate polymerization, distillation optimization, and pressure swing adsorption. Scott led the design and start-up of over 30 pressure swing adsorption units for air emission control around the world.
Outside of DuPont, Scott is co-chair of the National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicines (NASEM) Board on Chemical Sciences and Technology (BCST) and has served on the advisory boards for both Michigan Tech’s Department of Chemical Engineering and Clemson University’s Packaging Department.
