Why did you choose Michigan Tech?

Academic reputation, size, location

How well did Michigan Tech prepare you for your career?

I felt well-prepared to take on the different challenges that arise in my daily work. While learning certainly doesn't end after school, my formal education gave me the confidence that I could handle whatever was thrown at me.

What was your first job after graduation and how has your career progressed?

I have worked at Greenheck Fan Corporation since graduation. I started as a product development engineer and have since held roles in application engineering, product management, sales management, and now am the general manager of the Tempered Air Products business unit, with responsibility for marketing, engineering, and manufacturing.

What advice on being successful would you give to Tech students and young alumni?

Be willing to try new things.

Get to know people within all functions and at all levels of your company.

Don't take yourself too seriously!
