to bring students, faculty, and staff accessible flu shot clinics throughout the month
of October each year.

What vaccines are available at this clinic, and where can I find general vaccine information?
- Influenza Quadrivalent will be provided. Note that High Dose Quadrivalent vaccine
will not be available at these clinics. Contact a healthcare provider to inquire about
high dose availability.

What are the benefits of getting a flu vaccine?
Flu vaccines can reduce your risk of contracting the flu by up to 60% depending on
how well a person supports their immune system using other measures like getting enough
sleep and eating well. To learn more about the benefits of getting the flu vaccine

Will I be charged for my flu shot if I have insurance?
- Most insurances cover the cost of the flu shot. We will bill insurance for you. Please
bring all insurance cards. There are certain insurances where payment is expected
by the individual, with reimbursement coming from the insurance company, or a prior
authorization from a primary care physician. These insurances include:
- Downstate Priority Health
- Blue Care Network (East and Southeastern counties)
- Cash/check/credit card payments will be accepted for self-pay clients, or those without
insurance. The cost for self-pay will be $40.
What if I don't have insurance, or I don't have a valid insurance card to show at
my appointment?
You can still get a flu shot without having insurance or showing proof of insurance.
In this case the flu shot will cost you $40.00 (payable by cash or credit card).
Nope, you don't need to show us your student ID!

Where can I get my flu vaccine if I am unable to go to any of the clinics at Michigan
Tech?
Most flu vaccine's are available at local healthcare provider establishments. Please
