Sammy Borzick '23

Sammy Borzick, is a full-time Recreational Specialist for the City of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, where she has worked since June 2023. In this role, she manages the Historic Eidem Farm and community engagement initiatives, developing and leading public programming centered on agriculture, food systems, and environmental education. Her work spans a wide range of community programs, from organizing seasonal events such as maple syruping and luminary snowshoe outings to managing a summer nature preschool and coordinating classes in beekeeping, organic gardening, and even goat yoga. Sammy also supports grant writing efforts and maintains community partnerships that promote organic agricultural practices and culturally relevant food production in one of Minnesota’s most diverse municipalities. . . .

Savannah Obert-Pfeiffer '23

Savannah Obert-Pfeiffer is a full-time Place-Based Stewardship Education Specialist with the Northeast Michigan Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative (NEMIGLSI), where she connects K–12 educators with local partners to support hands-on, community-driven sustainability projects. Based in Alpena, Michigan, Savannah helps teachers plan field experiences, align stewardship projects with curriculum standards, secure funding, and build partnerships that bring real-world sustainability topics into the classroom. Projects range from water quality monitoring to composting programs and reusable lunchware campaigns led by students.
