ChemSci 501 and 601 Lab Renovations

DHH Bathroom Renovations

EERC Elevator Replacement

• Project Description: Modernization of all three elevators in the EERC Building to improve safety and reliability. 

E-Sports Gaming Center

• Project Description: Remodel of racquetball/squash courts into the E-gaming sports center for the new E-gaming team.

EERC 260-621 Plexus Maker Space

Facilities Fuel Tanks

Fisher 324 Remodel

Ford Center Dormitory Roof Replacement

• Start Date: 06/01/2021
• Expected Completion Date: September 2021
• Project Description: Remove and replace existing roofing material on dormitory building along with facia, soffit, and trim. Additional insulation to be added to the conference roof structure.

ICT Learning Center Remodel EERC 123

• Start Date: 12/23/2019
• Expected Completion Date: January 2020
• Project Description: Remodel of learning center including LED lights, painting, and new furniture.

Kearly Stadium Press Box

• Start Date: Restarted May 7, 2020
• Expected Completion Date: End of October 2020
• Project Description: New facility to provide better toilets, concession and press area.

KRC Cold Climate Testing Facility

Project Description: New cold room testing facility located at the Keweenaw Research Center.

ME-EM 501 Hood Installation

• Project Description: Add a chemical fume hood with ventilation to MEEM Lab 501.

M&M Microfab Facility Upgrade

• Start Date: 12/14/2020
• Expected Completion Date: April 2021
• Project Description: Renovation on the 4th floor of the M&M Building to isolate the Microfab area and install vision lights on existing doors.

Mont Ripley Slope Repair

Start Date: May 23, 2022

Expected Completion Date: September 2022

Project Description: Repair of the failed slope caused by the 2018 Father's Day Flood event.

MTU Parking Lot Improvements

• Start Date: July 19, 2021
• Expected Completion Date: October 2021
• Project Description:

  Repairs to parking lots 27, 12, 14/V2, 8, 16, and 22.

Nara Forest Education Center

Start Date: August 30, 2021

Expected Completion Date: December 2022

Project Description: A new facility for the College of Forestry in the middle of the Nara Forest for teaching and education.

2022 Parking Lot Improvements

• Start Date: June 20, 2022
• Expected Completion Date: July 2022
• Project Description: Repairs to parking lots 1 and 2.

ROTC Classroom 201 Remodel

• Start Date: 11/04/2020
• Expected Completion Date: January 2021
• Project Description: The project involves renovating the classroom back to its original historic appearance including, but not limited to refinishing the original hardwood floor, replacing the painted woodwork, updating communication network jacks, and providing ceiling and lighting upgrades.

Rozsa Center Roof Replacement

Start Date: September 2, 2022

Expected Completion Date: October 2022

Project Description: Replacement of the west (back-of-house) roof and south east lobby roof.  Maintenance repairs of the metal sloped roof as well.

Snow Dump Flood Restoration

• Start Date: September 1, 2020
• Expected Completion Date: October 2020
• Project Description: Restoration of hillside near the Salt Storage Barn on Cemetery Road. The slope was damaged and has been eroding since the Father's Day Flood.

Student Development Complex (SDC) Mechanical Equipment

• Start Date: 02/03/2020
• Expected Completion Date: October 12, 2020
• Project Description: Replace existing pool filters and other pool related equipment. Also includes additional water heater for the entire building. Equipment has all been installed, and testing of new equipment is underway.

SDC Ice Arena Roof Replacement

• Start Date: 09/08/2020
• Expected Completion Date: November 2020
• Project Description: A full roof replacement of the John J. MacInnes Student Ice Arena. The existing ballasted rubber roof is currently being replaced with a 60 mil, single ply polyvinyl chloride (PVC) roof membrane. Phase 2 of the project is scheduled to start on October 5 and be completed by November 3.

SDC Men's Basketball Locker Room Upgrade

Start Date: May 16, 2022

Expected Completion Date: August 2022

Project Description: Remodel to include new lockers, flooring, ceiling paint, and led lighting.

SDC Water Piping Replacement Phase 3

• Start Date: May 1, 2023
• Expected Completion Date: May 31, 2023
• Project Description: Replace existing domestic water lines (cold water, hot water, and circulating hot water) with new piping and isolation valves in the pool mechanical room and in several locker rooms.

Sherman Field Turf Replacement

• Start Date: June 3, 2021
• Expected Completion Date: July 2021
• Project Description:

  Replacement of the existing Sherman Field synthetic turf. New synthetic turf will be installed including both d-zones creating one continuous playing/practice surface                                                                     within the running track.

Varsity Hockey Facility Renovations Project

Start Date: April 25, 2022

Expected Completion Date: September 2022

Project Description: Renovation of the existing Husky hockey locker room, weight room, training room, corridor and puck pit areas.

Wads East Elevator Replacement

• Start Date: 03/09/2020
• Expected Completion Date: July 2020
• Project Description: Modernization of existing elevator in East Wads, including cab interior.

Wads Value Lounge Conversion

• Start Date: 03/09/2020
• Expected Completion Date: May 2020
• Project Description: Convert two existing rooms, formally known as the Values Lounge area on the ground floor of Wadsworth Hall, into one collaborative classroom and multipurpose space.
