Biography

Molly A. Skinner is a postdoctoral scholar in the Heldt Bioseparations Lab tasked with characterizing adeno-associated viruses (AAVs). She received her PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2023 from the University of South Florida specializing in utilizing gene electrotherapy to transfect human T cells to be used in immunotherapy. In addition to her research efforts, she is also highly involved with the Society of Women Engineers, currently serving on the Finance Committee for FY24 and having previously worked with GradSWE. In her free time, Molly enjoys reading, baking, yoga, and musical theatre (she's seen 53 musical productions so far).
