LTC Wallace W. Bandeff

Biography

LTC Wallace W. Bandeff leads a multi-faceted staff of instructors and staff to train and educate over 50 student cadets at the university. He also provides direct personal, professional and academic coaching, teaching and mentorship for all cadre and cadets to build future leaders for the U.S Army, National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve. LTC Bandeff is a graduate of Michigan Tech University where he earned his commission through the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps in 2006. His degree of study was in Mechanical Engineering Technology, with a minor in Military Science.

Prior to his current position, LTC Bandeff served as the Commander and District Engineer for the Detroit District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). There he led a workforce of approximately 550 employees overseeing a multimillion-dollar program providing engineering, design, construction, and water resource management solutions for the Upper Great Lakes region.

Throughout LTC Bandeff’s career he served with USACE in the Alaska, Omaha, Walla Walla, and Detroit Districts where he supported Civil Works, Military Construction, Interagency programs, and Emergency Response Operations. In addition to his USACE assignments LTC Bandeff previously held positions at Fort Campbell, Kentucky where he served as the Executive Officer of the 21st Brigade Engineer Battalion, as a member of the Division Engineer section, and as the Deputy Director for Operations in Afghanistan as a member of the 101st Airborne Division Headquarters and United States Forces Afghanistan staff. Other assignments include Fort Knox, Kentucky as the 76th Engineer Company commander and 19th Engineer Battalion plans and training officer. His initial duty station was Fort Wainwright, Alaska where he served as a company executive officer and platoon leader.
