Terminally ill armed forces vet Justin Fitch hopes to leave behind a remarkable legacy: ending veteran suicides. Twenty-two veterans per day—nearly one per hour—end their own lives. Nearly 8,000 a year. Roughly 6,700 soldiers have been killed in action since September 11, 2001, the longest stretch of continuous military action in American history.
