Who is this certificate for?

This certificate is for qualified professionals who want to enhance their skill set and can be a foundation to continue toward a graduate degree. It is also valuable for degree-seeking students looking to develop a concentration that gives them an edge in their career path.

What you’ll learn

You’ll learn to analyze structures under static and dynamic loading, including large deformation effects, post-yield behavior, and nonstandard and unusual geometries. Be proficient with modern, advanced structural analysis tools and techniques necessary for analysis of large and complex structures, as well as structures that exhibit finite deformations and experience dynamic load.

What you need to know

  • This is a 9-credit certificate program designed to be completed in three semesters, with a required course in Matrix Structural Analysis.
  • Students need 6 credits from electives. Course options include Advanced Structural Analysis, Finite Element Analysis, and Structural Dynamics.
