Shape Your Own Master of Engineering Degree.
Making solar energy economical, helping to integrate renewables into the grid, building better electric vehicles, designing smart cities, ensuring access to clean water, and repairing (and replacing) America's decaying infrastructure. These are just a few of the challenges that engineers currently face. You can help address these technological challenges by earning an Online Master of Engineering from Michigan Tech.
The Master of Engineering degree, more flexible than a traditional focused master's degree, allows you to take courses from various engineering disciplines, or even from disciplines outside of engineering, such as computer science, business, and policy.
Who is the Online Master of Engineering For?
The online Master of Engineering is designed primarily for engineers who need a broader, interdisciplinary graduate degree rather than a narrowly defined research specialization. It may be a good fit for technical professionals whose responsibilities now involve several engineering disciplines or those who connect engineering with business, computing, sustainability, or public policy.
To be successful in MTU's master of engineering degree, you should have an undergraduate degree in engineering. In special circumstances, exceptional students with a strong math or science background may be admitted into the program.
How the Program Works
In this program, you will work with an advisor to create a course of study that is appropriate for building upon your undergraduate degree, advancing in your current career path, and creating opportunities for advancement.
