Funding Opportunities

The ESC has funding available for both graduate and and undergraduate students for research and travel. At the bottom of this page we also list a few additional funding opportunities at MTU.

ESC Travel Grants

Student travel grants are available to assist with the costs of travel either to national and international scientific meetings to present research or to learn new skills at a short course not available here at Michigan Tech. More information and application instructions are available on the ESC Student Travel Grants page.

ESC Research Grants

The ESC provides research grants to both graduate and undergraduate students. Research grants for graduate students are intended to supplement existing resources, allowing graduate students to perform research they would not be able to attempt due to funding limitations. Undergraduate research grants allow students to perform independent research projects under the guidance of faculty or research staff mentors. More information and application instructions are available on the ESC Student Research Grants page.
