The Class Tribute program offers you the opportunity to publicly recognize and honor someone who has played a special role in your life and in your Michigan Tech education.
A professional photographer is on hand to take photos of each graduate as he or she is congratulated on stage. Proofs and ordering information is sent to your home address within four to six weeks of graduation. You can also access the proofs on the Grad Images website.
Also following commencement, GradImages photographers will be circulating outside the commencement venue to capture additional candid photographs of the graduates and their guests. The GradImages staff will be wearing red vests, so they'll be highly visible and easy to locate.
There are dedicated photo locations at the graduation reception in the SDC Multipurpose Room after the ceremony.
Guests may take pictures during the ceremony. However we ask that you remain seated, so you do not disrupt the ceremony or block the view of others.
We are very proud to welcome you to the Michigan Tech alumni family. You join more than 70,000 members, living and working in 100 nations around the world.
President's Reception for Graduates
President Glenn Mroz and Mrs. Gail Mroz will host a reception for graduates and their families from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018. The reception will be held in the Memorial Union Ballroom (MUB). Complimentary hors d'oeuvres are served and a cash bar is available. Business casual attire is requested. No RSVP is necessary. However if you have any questions, please contact Joan Tapani or call 906-487-2200.
Your Michigan Tech Alumni Association invites you, your family, and friends to a special reception right after the commencement ceremony in the SDC Multipurpose Room, a short indoor walk from the ceremony. This is a great opportunity to socialize, learn about alumni benefits and services, and enjoy light refreshments. Special areas for taking photos will be provided at the reception as well.
Additional information about the local area is available online.
