To protect Michigan Technological University’s intellectual property, and to align with the visual identity standards of the University, registered student organizations and clubs (RSOs) must follow the guidelines outlined here when University logos are utilized.
- RSOs are not required to use University logos on their publications, clothing, or other items.
- University logos may be utilized on items that solely identify an RSO and its affiliation with Michigan Tech, such as shirts and recruitment posters that do not contain additional messaging.
- Michigan Tech logos are not permitted to be included on posters or other items with messaging, consistent with the University's commitment to neutrality and the Chicago Principles, due to the potential for confusion as to whether the University is endorsing the substance of the RSO's message.
Use this information in conjunction with the Michigan Tech Brand Guide. All guidelines in relation to the Michigan Tech brand still apply.
