Summer Programs Guest Amenities Information
Guest wireless internet service is available on all existing wireless access points. This service is only for unregistered users; individuals already associated with the MichiganTech wireless will need to select MichiganTech.
- Turn on the wireless service on your device and connect to MichiganTechGuest wireless SSID.
- Open your web browser. You should automatically be redirected.
- Follow on screen instructions to read and accept the Terms of Service Agreement. You should now be connected to the network.

Dining services are conveniently provided within Wadsworth Hall. Meals passes are required. If meals were not previously arranged by your group, meal passes may be purchased at the Wadsworth Hall reception desk. Please note, the reception desk is not open during all meal times. Please plan accordingly.

The Student Development Complex (SDC) and surrounding outdoor recreation areas feature a fitness center, ice arena, multipurpose room with climbing wall, racquetball and squash courts, dance and fitness studio, swimming pool and dive tank, Gates Tennis Center, mountain biking trails, and more. Information regarding hours of operation and day pass pricing can be accessed by calling 906-487-2578 or through their website.
Laundry facilities are available on each floor for all guests to use. Guests are encouraged to bring their own laundry detergent and fabric softener; however, a limited supply may be available for pick up at the Wadsworth Hall Reception Desk.
Guests who are residing on the Michigan Tech campus may request to use a meeting room free of charge. There are rooms available in Hillside Place. Rooms should be requested in advance to guarantee room availability. Meeting room reservations for guests can be made by calling 906-487-2682 or by emailing housing@mtu.edu.
All summer program participants are required to have an identification card while residing at Michigan Tech. Participants must keep their identification card with them at all times. A $10 fee is charged for the identification card. This card is also used for building access.
These cards can be picked up from the Wadsworth Hall Reception Desk or the Residence Education and Housing Services office during normal business hours.
Outside of normal business hours, check in packets with access cards can be picked up at the Department of Public Safety and Police Services.
The Department of Public Safety and Police Services at Michigan Tech is staffed by trained, certified state of Michigan police officers who have full law enforcement authority (including the power of arrest) throughout Houghton County. The department is staffed and operates twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week.

Persons needing assistance dealing with vehicle problems can contact Transportation Services at 906-487-1441 for help during normal office hours. We provide assistance with flat tires, running out of gas, and dead car batteries at no charge. For other problems, we can assist you in contacting the appropriate services depending on your needs.

University Images is your source for apparel, souvenirs and sporting goods, located in the Student Development Complex.
Parking is available for a fee. Parking permits can be purchased through Transportation Services.
