Annual Events

International Programs and Services offers tons of ways for students to get together, have fun, and share experiences, which include, among other things, our international dance party social during the Fall students Welcome Week, and a traditional US Thanksgiving dinner.

Global Social

Join us in the Memorial Union Ballroom for music from around the world. Learn classic line dances, meet other new students, and enjoy light snacks and beverages to energize you for dancing the night away!

Friendsgiving Dinner

Join the IPS staff and members from the Tech community for conversation, and enjoy delicious Thanksgiving traditional foods like turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie! Friendsgiving is generally held every year on November 17 at the MUB Commons.

Welcome Week

IPS also organizes and helps to organize several fun events during the Fall students Welcome Week, which include a community expo, a canoe trip on the Portage River (pictured left), and a bus tour of the Keweenaw region!
