Biography

As a writing instructor, I prioritize providing students with opportunities to practice the craft of writing in all stages of the writing process, with particular focus on narrative thinking and storytelling. I emphasize community and civic applications of writing skills, encouraging students to practice collaboration, engage with diverse perspectives, and reflect on their rhetorical choices. My research investigates rhetorical sustainability, a concept and heuristic for investigating distributions of rhetorical energy and assessing the longevity of cultural rhetorics. Additionally, I’m interested in food rhetorics, disability studies, and related discourses of environmental sustainability.
