Biography
My work is focused on educational program development at Michigan Tech, particularly in curriculum development, faculty development, and pedagogical innovation. As Associate Dean in the College of Sciences and Arts, I oversee undergraduate curriculum and student success initiatives across multiple departments.
I was a co-lead in the development and launch of Essential Education, Michigan Tech’s general education curriculum. I continue to support campus-wide implementation of this program by mentoring faculty and consulting on curriculum design.
As Co-Director of IDEAhub, I coordinate faculty development programs in teaching and leadership. I currently serve as Co-PI on a three year, $650,000 MiLEAP grant from the State of Michigan supporting student success through improvement of Michigan Tech Seminar core content and development and delivery of faculty workshops supporting innovations in teaching.
My teaching interests include professional development, literature, and writing. My areas of expertise include change management in higher education, innovation in teaching and learning, pedagogies for reflection and eportfolio, and career integration in the curriculum.
