academic year. The training will be assigned as a list of instructors is created.

In addition to their own training/reporting requirements, supervisors are responsible
for providing a safe working environment for their group members.
Supervisors' responsibilities include:
- Provide or assign trainings to your team members
- Follow required maintenance regulations for your group assets
- Maintain Records of training and audit
- Reporting any incidents and injuries
Following training will be provided upon employment.

Training: Additional training will be assigned according to your job responsibilities.
Reporting: Report any incident or injury that occurs at the workplace to your supervisor. Report any safety concern to EH&S.
Multiple trainings are required depending on the nature of your research activity.

Training requirements for machine/vehicle operations will be provided by your supervisor or from EH&S (we consult with your supervisors to decide the best format). There are wide varieties of training available, and most of the work requires some form of training. If you feel that you are not provided with adequate training for your job, let your supervisor or EH&S know.

EH&S offers a variety of events for the campus community to make MTU a safer place to work. We have monthly coffee hours with various topics, a wide selection of safety training, discounted course offerings to have OSHA certification, and a plan to have safety drills and training on demand. Join us for those activities, and we love to hear your needs for future activity planning.
