Thank you for your interest in performing at the 2026 Festival of Nations!
The Festival of Nations celebrates multiculturalism and ethnic diversity in the Keweenaw. Through music, dance, storytelling, and other cultural performances, we create opportunities for our community to appreciate both our shared humanity and the unique traditions that make each culture special.
Performance Information
- Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
- Location: Dee Stadium, Houghton, Michigan
- Performance Window: Between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- Performance Length: 5–20 minutes
- Performances should be appropriate for general audiences and should represent or celebrate the culture(s) or country(ies) being showcased.
Performer Commitment
By registering to perform, you agree to:
- Attend a required rehearsal on Friday, September 18, 2026, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
- Perform during your assigned time slot on Saturday, September 19, 2026, between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Specific rehearsal and performance times will be shared with registered performers closer to the event.
Technical Requirements
The Festival will provide:
- A professional sound system
- A limited number of microphones
If your performance includes recorded music or other audio, it must be submitted to the Festival team no later than the rehearsal on September 18 so it can be tested in advance.
If you have additional technical needs, please describe them in this questionnaire. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, not all requests can be guaranteed.
