Rollin A. Jones and James E. Lindstrom Working Families Scholarship
- $6,000 per year funded by the Thompson Foundation
- Up to $6,000 in committed university funding in the form of grants and scholarships, including programs like the Presidential Scholars Program and Michigan Tech Transfer Award
- Awards are renewable; the number of semesters varies based on degree program.

Types of Scholarships Available
Working Families Scholarship: Awarded to 125 incoming first-year students at Michigan Tech. Award is renewable for 4 years. (8 semesters)
Working Families Achiever Scholarship: Awarded to 60 students entering their second year at Michigan Tech. Award is renewable for 3 years. (6 semesters)
Working Families Transfer Scholarship: Awarded to 10 students who completed the equivalent of four semesters or 60 credits at another institution. Award is renewable for 2 years. (4 semesters)
