Volunteer

Volunteering is at the heart of the Thompson Scholar experience. By giving back, Scholars honor the legacy of Robert and Ellen Thompson while building skills, connections, and a deeper sense of purpose. Through service, Thompson Scholars don’t just meet a requirement—they develop habits of leadership, compassion, and lifelong commitment to community.

Community Service

Each year, students dedicate at least 20 hours to community service.

This requirement is more than a checklist, it’s an opportunity for students to explore causes they care about, build meaningful connections, and learn how to use their time and talents to make a lasting impact.
