You can add your name to the Daniell Heights Apartments waitlist once you have been accepted to Michigan Tech. Prospective residents may apply for the waitlist online through the HuskyHouse portal. Your submission date will be used to establish your priority on the waiting list for an apartment.
The Housing Office sends offers as much in advance of the date an apartment will become available as possible. On average, applicants are notified approximately 30-90 days before their desired occupancy date and the date an apartment will become available. If your plans change and you are no longer interested in an apartment, or if any other information (your email address, desired move-in date, apartment preferences, etc.), please log in to the HusyHouse portal and update or cancel your name from the waitlist accordingly.
When you receive an apartment offer, you must complete the contract form within your HuskyHouse portal by the due date specified in
the offer.
Once the contract is signed, a $400 security deposit will be due.
-
Rent starts on the first day of your contract and is payable monthly.
-
Payments can be made online through the Experience portal or in person at the Cashier's Office located on the first floor of the Administration Building. The Cashier's Office is open for phone and email inquiries Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
-
If you are outside the United States and unable to make the security deposit payment online, please contact the Housing Office immediately to arrange payment upon your arrival.
-
If your plans change and you will not be accepting the contract offer, you must also contact the Housing Office immediately to decline the offer.

via email. To be fair, we must follow the order of the waitlist.

- When filling out the application for the waitlist, make sure you add in the comment section which term you are applying for and what type of apartment you are interested in.
If you graduate at the end of the spring semester, you should plan to move out during the Spring Educational Early Release date of May 15. If you graduate at the end of the fall semester, you should plan to move out during the Fall Educational Early Release date of December 15. Residents who will graduate at the end of summer should plan to move out on June 30. Please plan accordingly to get your contract termination notices to housing 90 days before your planned move-out.
In most cases, apartment offers are made between 30-60 days in advance.
Applicants who reject a total of two apartment offers for their desired occupancy date will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist.
