Tech to Host NCAA Midwest Women's Basketball Regional

GLIAC Tourney Champs host NCAA Regionals.

March 8, 2010—

Michigan Tech will host the 2010 NCAA Midwest Women’s Basketball Region, NCAA.com has announced. The Huskies are the top seed and will face eighth-seeded Northern Kentucky Friday, March 12, at 6 p.m. in a quarterfinal game.

The other three quarterfinals for Friday are:
No. 3 Drury vs. No. 6 Southern Indiana, noon
No. 2 Indianapolis vs. No. 7 Northern Michigan, 2:30 p.m.
No. 4 Wisconsin-Parkside vs. No. 5 Findlay, 8:30 p.m.

The semifinals are set for Saturday, March 13. The Drury/Southern Indiana winner will face the Indianapolis/Northern Michigan winner at 5 p.m. The Michigan Tech/Northern Kentucky winner will take on the UW-Parkside/Findlay winner at 7:30 p.m.

The 2010 Midwest Regional Championship game will be played Monday, March 15, at 7 p.m. All games will be played at Michigan Tech’s Student Development Complex Gymnasium.

General admission tickets for the NCAA Midwest Regional go on sale Monday, March 8, at noon at the SDC Ticket Office or by calling 906-487-2073. Current Michigan Tech season ticket holders will have until Thursday, March 11, at 7 p.m. to purchase reserved tickets.
