Equipment Rental and Liability Release
Renters agree to the following:
- Responsibility for Equipment: I accept the rented equipment as-is and agree to be fully responsible for its care. I will be charged for any damage or loss, up to the full replacement value of the equipment. I promise to return all equipment after each use.
- Acknowledgment of Risk: I understand that skiing and snowboarding are dangerous sports that carry inherent risks, including serious injury or death. I willingly accept these risks.
- Bindings are NOT foolproof:
- Skiing: I understand that ski bindings are designed to reduce, but not eliminate, the risk of injury. They will not always release in a fall, and it is impossible to predict when they will release.
- Snowboarding: I understand that snowboard bindings are not designed to release during normal use.
- Release of Liability: I release the rental shop, its employees, and equipment manufacturers from all liability for any injury, death, or property damage that results from using this equipment, even if it is due to their own negligence.
- Indemnity: I agree to protect and compensate the rental shop for any costs or losses they incur from my use of this equipment, including any lawsuits or claims.
- Agreement: I confirm that I have read and fully understand this agreement. If I am the parent
or guardian of a minor, I confirm that I have the authority to sign on their behalf
and agree to all terms.
