Michigan Tech Restrictions:

Mont Ripley is complying with restrictions put in place by Michigan Technological University.

Level One (Current Level)

  • Face-to-face instruction.
  • Face coverings are not required, but are permitted.
  • On-demand testing available for symptomatic and asymptomatic.
  • Contact tracing is through the Health Department.
  • Employee presence on campus falls under normal operations.
  • Campus buildings operate as usual.
  • Common areas are open.
  • There are no restrictions to group gathering sizes.
  • Visitors are welcome.

Please respect the current and rapidly-changing protocols and procedures put in place to protect our patrons and our community. We are committed to bringing you the safest ski season possible. 

Mont Ripley Protocols, Procedures, and Restrictions:

Season Passes:

  • All tickets and passes are purchasable online.
  • Returning passholders may use last year's photo, or submit a new one here.
  • All online ticket puchases should be picked up at the Outdoor Ticket Window (located on the upper deck of the East side of the chalet)
  • Group/Corporate Rate Season Passes are still available for purchase online. Ask your group liaison for your groups promo code to receive the Group Rate online.

Lift Tickets:

  • All tickets and passes are purchasable online.
  • Daily tickets purchased online will be valid anytime during the 2021-2022 Season. Refunds will not be given on these items.
  • Tickets purchased for any of our daily specials will only be valid on those specific days.
  • All online ticket puchases should be picked up at the Outdoor Ticket Window (located on the upper deck of the East side of the chalet)

General Inside:

  • Face coverings are recommended except when drinking/eating.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be readily available in common areas.
  • Mont Ripley staff will routinely disinfect high touch surfaces.
  • Personal belonging should be kept in either a locker, or in your car. Limited outdoor storage for shoes, bags, etc. is available this season. Mont Ripley is not responsible for any items that are lost, stolen or damaged. 

General Outside:

  • 6 feet of social distancing is recommended between customers and/or staff, when possible. Examples: The Outdoor Ticket Window or The Lift Line.
  • Be courteous to others at all times, give people their space – ask about sharing a chairlift prior to getting on.
  • In the lift line, maintain a tip to tail distance from people in front of you. 
  • Outdoor seating areas are available. Please stay outside as much as possible.
  • Please check the website for posted hours of operation before coming.

Food and Beverage

  • Face coverings are recommended except when drinking/eating.
  • To enter the cafe area, please use the outside doors on the East and North sides of the chalet. 

Rentals

  • Daily and Season Rentals are purchasable online
  • Indoor access to rental will be limited. To eliminate your need to come inside, outdoor pick-up services are available this season.
  • We are strongly encouraging Season Renters to use our online reservation form to reserve your rental with date and time for pick-up and we'll have your gear ready for you to pick-up outside. Reservations are limited to same-day or next-day only.
  • Personal belonging should be kept in either a locker, or in your car. Limited outdoor storage for shoes, bags, etc. is available this season. Mont Ripley is not responsible for any items that are lost, stolen or damaged.
  • We will be disinfecting our rental boots and helmets after each use.

Ripley Tune & Supply 

  • Face coverings are recommended inside.
  • The retail shop with operate with the same hours as the ski hill. Capacity inside the retail store is limited, so please be patient.

Ski Patrol

  • Unless there is a breathing impediment, patrollers will require customers to be masked before administering care.
  • Customers will not be allowed into the Patrol Building, except for a medical emergency.
  • An outdoor triage unit will be set up near the patrol building for general incidents.
