Bob Monica attended Michigan Tech after serving in the United States Army during World War II, and in 1950 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He continued his education at Princeton University, earning a Master of Science degree in Plastics Engineering in 1952. Jim Vorhes earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1947 and immediately began a 39 year career with General Motors. Following a series of sales and service assignments in the Pontiac field organization, he served as a zone manager in a number of locations.
