The Institute of Materials Processing (IMP) serves as a bridge between industry, academia, and the next generation of innovators.
Industry
Through collaborative research partnerships, industry sponsors can access Michigan Tech’s expertise, state-of-the-art facilities, and customized solutions to address real-world materials and manufacturing challenges. Industry is invited to inquire about the use of our processing facilities for small-batch material processing and/or proof of concept experiments. External use rates for equipment will apply, as well as external funding agreement with the Vice President for Research Office. Industry may also sponsor student projects at the PhD, MS, senior-capstone design, or under graduate project levels.
