Environmental Genomics and Genetics

Our interdisciplinary faculty and dedicated students are exploring the frontiers of life sciences, applying advanced genomic techniques to solve complex biological problems. We are committed to fostering an environment of discovery, driving innovation in areas ranging from environmental science and conservation to biomedical research and biotechnology.

Internal Genomic Sequencing Grant for Students

We offer an internal grant program to support student-led research requiring genomic sequencing. This grant is designed to facilitate discovery and hands-on experience. Applicants must consult with their advisor and lab lead (e.g. Aimee Marceau for sequencing) prior to submission.

Equipment

A number of genomic related resources exist around campus. Our catalog of genomic resources is continually updated and includes contact information for those who control access to the equipment. Additionally, the Genomic Sequencing Laboratory at Michigan Tech is located in the H-STEM building and can be used by the university community (requires the user to supply consumables and pay for staff time).
