Biography

Lt Col Hans G. Korth is Commander, AFROTC Detachment 400, Michigan Technological University, Houghton, Michigan. He leads a staff of instructors and enlisted specialists from a variety of career fields to train and educate over 60 student cadets at the university. He also conducts personal, professional and academic mentoring for cadre and cadets, building future leaders of character for the Air and Space Forces.

Lt Col Korth earned his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He has held numerous engineering and technical leadership positions in Air Force weapon system programs at the section, branch, division, and directorate levels. Prior to his current assignment, Lt Col Korth served as the Commander, Detachment 6, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, Texas. He was responsible for organizing, training, and equipping 230 military personnel spanning three directorates and three geographically separated locations across San Antonio.
