The Staff Service Awards celebrate the dedication of Michigan Tech staff members who have reached a work anniversary milestone. Each summer, the University President and Staff Council Chair present awards for five-year increments of service to more than 100 staff members. Recent staff retirees are also recognized.

2026 Staff Service Awards
The 2026 University Staff Service Awards will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in the MUB Ballroom from 12 pm - 1 pm. Doors will open at 11:30 am. Congratulations to all of our 2026 Honorees!
This year, a "Taste of the Mediterranean" will be served featuring blackened salmon with lemon and parsley, za`tar roast chicken breast, penne with broccoli, lemon, and garlic, broccoli rabe with red chili flake and roast garlic, chickpea and tomato salad, assorted desserts, and beverages. This event is free to all honorees who rsvp in advance. If you would like to attend the event as a guest or in support of an honoree, you will be able to purchase a ticket online. Tickets are $10.50 and will be available for sale from Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 22.
