Biography
Nicole Piazza serves as Director of the Thompson Scholar Program at Michigan Technological University. She oversees an impactful scholarship program funded by the Thompson Foundation, promoting student success and a commitment to community service. Prior to joining Michigan Tech, she spent 16 years as a civilian professional with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, directing programs centered on postsecondary planning, employment transitions, volunteer initiatives, and youth services. Nicole holds a bachelor's degree in Social Science and a master's degree in Secondary Education, both from James Madison University.
