The Iris Portrait Lounge gives Huskies an easy way to capture a polished, professional headshot for LinkedIn, Handshake, research profiles, Google/gmail accounts, and more. The booth uses studio‑quality lighting and automated prompts to help you look your best, no photographer required.
Located in Career Services, the booth is open to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Sessions take just a few minutes, and your edited photos are delivered straight to your inbox.

How to Use the Iris Portrait Lounge
You can use the booth by appointment through Handshake or as a walk‑in during business hours at Career Services.
- Check in
Enter your email address on the touchscreen and follow the on‑screen instructions.
- Capture your photos
The booth will guide you through a series of poses using professional lighting and a neutral backdrop.
- Access and edit
You’ll receive an email with a link to your photos. Create an Iris account to download, crop, and lightly edit your images.
- Share your new headshot
Upload it to LinkedIn, Handshake, your website, or anywhere you want to make a strong first impression.
Who Can Use the Booth?
The Iris Portrait Lounge is free and available to:
- Undergraduate and graduate students
- Faculty and staff
- Alumni
If you need professional clothing for your photo, the Career Closet may be an option. The Career Closet opens twice per year on the weekend before Career Fair. If you have your photo taken while the Career Closet is open, you can choose from free, gently worn business clothing.
