Michigan Tech employees can access all their employment data from October 1994 to the present online through Banweb. Login using your Initial Sign-on (ISO) username and password to:
- View history of employee earnings and deductions.
- Update personal information.
- Review your benefits plan.
- Request or update your parking pass.
- Update your benefits plan during the annual open enrollment period.
- Review and update tax information.
- Designate bank accounts for the direct-deposit payroll allocations.
You can access additional tools and features using Banweb, depending on your position at Michigan Tech. For example, EPAF originators and approvers can access their forms through Banweb. Also, if you were a student at Michigan Tech after October 1994, or if you are taking advantage of your education benefit as an employee, you can also access your student records.
How Do I Use the "Employees" Tab in Banweb?
Benefits Information on Banweb
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Benefits and Deductions".
- Select "Health Benefits".
- Find the heading "Health Savings Acct - Employee - 452" and click on Update below the information.
- Status should be Active.
- DO NOT change the Effective Date of Change.
- Enter the Semimonthly Amount you want deducted from your paycheck.
- Verify the Annual Goal amount.
- Click the Submit Changes button to save.
- You can view your changes using the History option at step 4 instead of Update.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Benefits and Deductions".
- Select "Health Benefits".
- Find the heading "Health Savings Acct - Employee - 452" and click on Update below the information.
- Change status to Inactive.
- Change the Effective Date of Change to the last date of the prior bi-weekly pay period, which will always be a Saturday.
- Change the Semimonthly Amount to 0.00.
- Don't change the Annual Goal.
- Click the Submit Changes button to save.
- You can view your changes using the History option at step 4 instead of Update.
This option will delete all changes you made to your HSA contributions and restore the original settings. It will only appear if you had submitted a change and it has not yet been processed through Payroll Services.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Benefits and Deductions".
- Select "Health Benefits".
- Find the heading "Health Savings Acct - Employee - 452" and click on Update below the information.
- Check the Delete This Change box beneath the Annual Goal.
- Click the Submit Changes button to save.
- You can view your changes using the History option at step 4 instead of Update.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Benefits and Deductions".
- Choosing "Retirement Plans" will show you History or Contributions and Deductions for your retirement plan.
- Choosing "Flexible Spending Accounts" will show you History or Contributions and Deductions for you Flexible Spending Account.
- Choosing "Miscellaneous" will show you History or Contributions and Deductions for FICA Tax Social Security, FICA Tax Medicare, Michigan State Tax, Union Dues, AD&D, Life Insurance, Dependent Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, and/or other deductions depending upon your position.
- Choosing "Compensation Statement" you can select a year to see the value of all of your compensation from Michigan Tech and your contributions.
- Choosing "TechFit Information" will show you beginning balances for you and your dependent, usage, and remaining balances for the current calendar year.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Leave Balances".
- You will see a summary of your balances for each type of leave.
- Click on the specific leave type to view a detailed history.
- Select "Other Payments" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Insurance Payment".
- You can pay by credit card or electronic check.
Payroll Information on Banweb
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Tax Forms".
- Select "W2 Wage and Tax Statement".
- Select Tax Year and click the Display button.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Tax Forms".
- Select "Federal W4 Tax Exemptions".
- Select Update from the bottom of the page.
- Enter the new information and click the Certify Changes button.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Benefits and Deductions".
- Select "Miscellaneous".
- Find the "State Tax" deduction record. (example: "State of Michigan Income Tax")
- Select "Update" below the heading.
- Enter the new information and click the "Submit Changes" button.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Pay Information".
- Select Pay Stubs.
- Select Pay Stub Year and click the Display button.
- Click on the Pay Stub Date you would like to see.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item call "Pay Information."
- Select "Direct Deposit Allocation."
- Select "Update Direct Deposit Allocation" from the bottom of the page.
- Enter the new information and click the Save button.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Leave Balances".
- You will see a summary of your balances for each type of leave.
- Click on the specific leave type to view a detailed history.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Pay Information".
- Select either "Earnings History" or "Deductions History".
- Choose the date range you would like to view the history for.
- Click the Display button.
