Phase 1: Pre-Development
⇒ Obtain "concept approval" from Executive Team member or senior staff member
⇒ Complete University Policy Proposal Form and submit to the University Policy Office
Phase 2: Development
⇒ With the guidance of the University Policy Office, draft policy and procedures.
⇒ University Policy Review Committee will review draft in the later stages of the Development phase.
Phase 3: Approval
⇒ The University Policy Office prepares the policy packet for review and approval.
⇒ Final approval signature from a member of the university's Executive Team is required.
Phase 4: Implementation
⇒ The University Policy Office will inform the university community of all new and revised policies by:
- publishing them on the University Policy Office website
- announcing them in Tech Today
- publishing them on the Policy News blog
Additional communications, education, and/or training may be provided as needed based on the scope and impact of the policy.
