Escape rooms challenge participants to solve puzzles, find clues, crack codes, and
open locked boxes—all in a limited amount of time. Because students spend so much
time in lectures, labs, and workshops, Career Services took a creative approach to
career education: they engineered an escape room.
Inside the 10 x 10-foot room, teams of two to five students have 45 minutes to escape. During the challenge, students employ the skills recruiters are looking for—teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication--and are asked to evaluate their skills when the challenge is over.
We've made career education an adventure.
Our escape room themes change each semester. Do you have what it takes to escape?
Students: You will receive an email from Career Services when the next escape room opens. Sessions are limited. Appointment required.

"We put students in a real-life situation or created simulation where they get to use all of the skills employers are looking for."
