Weekday Tours

Weekday tours are offered twice daily, Monday through Friday, whenever school is in session, including during the summer months.

The morning tour begins at 8:30 a.m. and includes:

  • a presentation of Michigan Tech’s academics, student organizations, and admissions process
  • tours of the Student Development Complex (our athletic facility) and the U.J. Noblet Forestry Building
  • a walking tour of campus with a current student as your guide
  • lunch in one of our residence halls with your student guide
  • an informational meeting with the academic department of your choice
  • a VIP pass to Tech's ski hill, golf course, Student Development Complex (with workout facility, pool, basketball courts, and more), trails, athletic and arts events, and mineral museum.

The afternoon tour begins at 12:30* p.m. and includes:

  • a group presentation of Michigan Tech’s admissions process and scholarship programs
  • an informational meeting with the academic department of your choice
  • walking tour of campus with a current student as your guide
  • a VIP pass to Tech's ski hill, golf course, Student Development Complex (with workout facility, pool, basketball courts, and more), trails, athletic and arts events, and mineral museum.

*If you are not meeting with a department, the campus tour leaves at 2:00 p.m.

Saturday Tours

Saturday tours are offered once a month during the academic year and include a group presentation with admissions and financial aid, a walking tour of campus, VIP passes, and lunch in one of our residence halls. Saturday visits don’t include meetings with academic departments, except during Open House and Preview Day.

*Spring Career Fair will be held the following week and will limit the number of hotel rooms available. Make your hotel reservations early.

Bring your clubs and enjoy nine holes on us. Carts and clubs are available for rent.


Mont Ripley Ski Hill

Ski or snowboard Michigan Tech’s own ski hill overlooking the Keweenaw Waterway.


Gates Tennis Center

Bring your racquet and tennis balls and play for an hour.


Michigan Tech Trails

Run, mountain bike, hike, snowshoe, or cross-country ski our very own recreational trails.


A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum

The state’s official mineralogical museum.


Visual and Performing Arts Events

Michigan Tech students perform jazz, symphony, choral, and theatre during the academic year.
