Meeting Room Reservations

Residential student organizations and residence hall staff have the first opportunity to reserve meeting spaces in the residence halls each semester. Rooms may only be reserved for a maximum of four weeks at a time.

Any faculty, staff, or student affiliated with Michigan Tech may reserve a meeting room. However, we reserve the right to bump a regularly scheduled meeting from a room due to a one time event. The requester will be contacted.

Meeting rooms are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check the calendar availability before reserving the room by clicking on the "check availability" link. The request must be submitted at least three (3) business days prior to the event, and equipment must be ordered in advance. (A business day is any day Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, excluding holidays.)

Meeting Room Reservation Guidelines

  • Meeting rooms are available Sunday through Saturday until 8 p.m. The latest reservation start time is 7 p.m.
  • The individual submitting the reservation request must have an M number associated with existing building access (tap access), as temporary building access will not be provided. For Example, only a resident of Wadsworth Hall can make meeting room reservations in Wadsworth Hall.
  • The individual who submits the reservation request must be present for the entire duration of the reservation as they responsible for any damages and the actions of their guests.
  • Reservation requests submitted by individuals without an M number associated with the building will be denied.
  • The safety and well-being of our residents is our top priority. Because these facilities are located within residential communities, all room reservations must support a safe and respectful living environment.
  • Rooms will only be able to be reserved for a maximum of four weeks at a time. This means weekly meetings are not permitted due to the limited number of large programming spaces available in the residence halls and our desire to make the space available to as many groups as possible. If you wish to reserve a space for an additional four weeks, you will be able to make your next reservation during your third week of your current reservation.
  • Meeting rooms are reserved as is. If permission has been granted to rearrange the furniture, it must be returned to its original setup at the conclusion of the event. A charge will be incurred if the furniture is not returned to the original setup. If you need a special setup, you will need to request this through Facilities and pay for their services.
  • Charges will be assessed for damages to equipment and/or the room (including cleanup).
  • As stated in the 1.08—University Food Policy, only food prepared by Michigan Tech Dining Services shall be permitted to be distributed or sold on campus or at events sponsored by the University. Please review the University Food Policy here. Any violations of University policies will result in disciplinary actions and/or loss of privileges regarding future requests.
  • G11W in Wadsworth Hall is booked for classes during the academic year, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Contact the Registrar's Office if you need to reserve this room during those times.
