Delivery Policy
Michigan Technological University is not responsible for packages, deliveries, or other items sent by third-party vendors, delivery services, restaurants, couriers, or other external sources. The University is not liable for items that are lost, stolen, delayed, misdelivered, damaged, improperly addressed, or otherwise unavailable before, during, or after delivery to a University or residence hall address.
It is the sole responsibility of the intended recipient to monitor their delivery, track their package, and ensure its secure and timely receipt.
University residence hall reception desks and mailrooms primarily accept deliveries from the following carriers:
- United States Postal Service (USPS)
- United Parcel Service (UPS)
- Federal Express (FedEx)
Deliveries from other carriers, vendors, restaurants, courier services, food delivery services, or third-party delivery providers may be refused, redirected, or handled at the discretion of University personnel.
The University does not guarantee that a delivery will be accepted, stored, refrigerated, secured, or available for pickup immediately upon arrival. The University is not responsible for food, perishable items, temperature-sensitive items, or other deliveries that require special handling or timely pickup.
Recipients are responsible for:
- Ensuring packages and deliveries are addressed correctly.
