  • Increased spending in the state by $448 million
  • Increased employment by 4,258 jobs
  • Has 26,000 alumni living in Michigan, earning more than $1.4 billion in salaries and wages in 2016
  • Enrolled over 7,200 students, 10 percent higher than its enrollment a decade ago; these students spent $66 million, contributing significantly to the regional and state economy
  • Awarded 1,700 degrees, with a majority in STEM fields
  • Spent $72.5 million on research and development
