Defense

APS LABS supports advanced development programs for tactical wheeled vehicles, with infrastructure designed to meet stringent defense security requirements. Our facilities include secured and controlled spaces, a secured network environment, and formal visitor screening procedures. We support programs involving Controlled Unclassified Information and ITAR-regulated technologies, with compliance aligned to NIST 800-171 requirements.

Our defense portfolio includes projects focused on exportable power, on board vehicle power, anti idle capability, expeditionary power, tactical microgrids, and extended operational reach.

Featured projects include the development of a prototype tactical hybrid electric HMMWV delivered to the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office. This demonstrator integrates a hybrid electric powertrain that meets or exceeds legacy vehicle performance while enabling extended silent operation and on board and exportable power functionality. Another key effort is the Vehicle Integrated Power Kit for U.S. Army tactical vehicles. In this program, APS LABS is developing a power generation solution capable of producing more than 120 kW of 600 VDC power, with compatibility for tactical microgrid integration to support field operations.
