Remember, that 4.0 is the average, not a minimum. Additionally, we look at more than just academic credentials when making decisions. All components of the evaluation process are weighted to reflect the multitude of qualities we value in our scholars. This approach allows us to holistically consider each student’s academic achievements, leadership potential, and unique strengths to ensure a well-rounded and equitable selection process.

Each year we receive almost 2,000 applications and approximately 1,300 finalists attend the on-campus competition. Finalists will have seven different dates to choose from and should register for the day that works best for their schedule.
3
All finalists who attend one of the on-campus events will receive one of three scholarships. The total number of full-tuition scholarships awarded will be dependent upon final evaluations but will not exceed more than 30 between resident and non-resident awards. For scholarship details including renewal criteria, please see the Leading Scholar Award Details.
