Assessment Overview

The Graduate School contributes to the University’s educational, research, and service missions by supporting graduate programs that produce well-educated students who then contribute to society in uncountable ways. Accreditation

Michigan Tech, as an institution, is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC). HLC accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region of the United States. Accreditation documentation for Michigan Tech may be reviewed in the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Many programs also follow criteria for professional accreditation.

All three components of Graduate Program Review contribute to our ability to demonstrate to the Higher Learning Commission that Michigan Tech's Graduate School programs are worthy of their support and validation through accreditation.
