Kappa Sigma Iota Club Description
The goal of Kappa Sigma Iota is to provide accounting students of Michigan Tech with resources to help them succeed. Whether you simply want to earn your undergraduate accounting degree, or become a licensed CPA, Kappa Sigma Iota can assist you with that.
By joining Kappa Sigma Iota students receive many opportunities that wouldn’t have otherwise been available to them. Each year Kappa Sigma Iota leaves Houghton for a 3-day trip to meet and network with CPAs from nearby cities. This includes accounting firms such as Deloitte and Touche, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and KPMG, in locations like Chicago and Minneapolis.
Kappa Sigma Iota also allows students to apply knowledge learned in the classroom to help the community. Each year members of Kappa Sigma Iota help low-income families and students file their annual income tax returns through the nationally recognized VITA program.
