Students who are eligible to apply for the Tech360 Scholarship program are invited to bring their family to see all that Michigan Tech has to offer. You'll meet current students, faculty, and staff who will support you during your time on campus, take a campus tour with a current student, hear from multicultural students from a variety of majors, learn about the ExSEL program for mentoring and support, and meet with an advisor for the major you're considering.

Enjoy a meal in the residence halls, take a tour of campus, and talk with current students to see what makes Michigan Tech so special.

Whether you’re just starting your college search or you’ve decided that Michigan Tech is for you, Open House is your chance to see what we’re all about. Tour academic departments, learn about financial aid, talk with current students, and— when you’re ready to seal the deal—apply online for free.
Portage Lake Lift Bridge Construction
The Portage Lake Lift Bridge, which connects the cities of Houghton and Hancock, is being upgraded starting in December 2014 with work expected to finish in spring 2016.
During construction, there will be:
- Lane closures
- Short and extended closures to pedestrian and vehicle traffic
Be mindful of hotel and flight reservations, as well as any travel plans north of the bridge on highways M-26, US-41, and M-203.
